YOUTH DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
As part of Reigate Priorys committment to developing its young players through the Youth Section at the club ,
Spencer Branton has been appointed as Youth Development Officer. The role of the YDO is defined as below:
AIMS:
- To ensure every youth player has the opportunity to progress into the senior set up at the appropriate time.
- To liase with Youth Team Managers and Coaches to provide full integration into club culture.
- To ensure Youth Team set up is compliant under Charter Standard Criteria by providing support and direction as required.
- To ensure both Senior and Youth Sections are compliant under Child Protection guidelines and the Clubs' Codes of Conduct.
- To keep regular contact with youth team managers to discuss progress of the youth sides and to also discuss problems or views the managers/coaches may have.
- Where Youth Players have achieved the age of 16 years to provide Senior Team Managers with information on potential players and integrate at the earliest opportunity.
- To attend at least one game of each age group per month.
- To provide support , if required ,in emergency situations i.e where the manager is unable to attend training
- Monthly News Letter to keep all youth teams in touch of the progress of the club.
- The most important part of all is to create a relationship with the youth teams, to make them feel part of the club and to give them the ambition to play in the senior sides.
It is the aim of the club that both young players and parents enjoy their time with Reigate Priory FC and that the football that we provide is both played and supported in the right spirit. Reigate Priory FC are currently developing its set up under the guidelines provided by the Surrey County Football Association and will follow the criteria as described by the Chartered Standard and the codes of conduct stated therein.
