WESTERHAM RESERVES (1) 5 REIGATE PRIORY (2) 4
Mottram1,Balcombe1,Crossley2
Priory went to Westerham on saturday to play against Westerham Reserves from the Keny County League Reserve Section.
A good start to the game with Priory creating some good opportunties. The strikeforce of Balcombe and Crossley working well with Crossley very lively. Priory took the lead when Mottrams long range shot found the top corner. The game remained evenly poised as Westerham equalised. Balcombe put Priory back in front when he pounced on some confusion in the Westerham defence , rounded the keeper to slot home.
Priory then had to make some adjustments when Branton and Morley sustained injuries. Westerham became more threatening as they scored two goals to take a 3-2 lead. Man of the match Crossley brought the game level when he headed home following an overlapping run by Hog whose cross was headed in perfectly. Westerham then scored a further two goals and looked comfortable at 5-3 , but Crossley secured his second goal of the day as he lobbed the advancing keeper.
A hard fought game with Priory sustaining some early season injuries to Morley , Branton , Wheeler and Lidbury.
Priory continue their preseason campaign on Wednesday at Redhil FC , playing Redhill Reserves , KO 7.30pm.
